I'm attracted to scenes with interesting textures, and this was no exception. I had walked through this wash many times, and the large rocks make the passage somewhat difficult. I loved the look of the lichen set against the dark sandstone up top, and how that mirrored the rocks in the wash. This was photographed in the shade, and the scene was lit by the clear blue sky. I took this photo during the fall of 2016.
