I photographed this scene on my Spring 2018 backpacking trip to Southern Utah. While hiking through a narrow canyon, I spotted this very ideal fracture in the sandstone wall. I loved how geometric it was, and how there were some small stones trapped in the crack. I made a single exposure on Velvia 50 while this scene was in reflected light, then I continued up the canyon to see what else I could find.

The photo has already been drum scanned and optimized for print.
