I photographed this scene on my winter 2018 visit to Zion National Park. Though there wasn't any snow on the ground, a recent storm brought a lot of rain to the park. All that moisture, combined with some cold temperatures, created some wonderfully frosty mornings. I was also surprised to see a large amount of fall color still left in the park. This is a photo I shot while wandering through the washes on the east side of the park. I placed the warm colored maple leaf in the middle of the composition for a sense of color contrast.
