I photographed this scene on my spring 2017 backpacking trip to the Colorado Plateau. I found this fantastic looking Juniper tree up against a sandstone cliff, and knew it would make for a great subject. I waited for the next morning for the tree to be in wonderful reflected light, and made this exposure on Fuji Velvia 50 8x10 film.

The photo has already been drum scanned and optimized for print.
